Chris Samuels is a former American College and professional football player and he played as an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) and he played for the Washington Redskins for ten seasons and also played College football for the University of Alabama and he was also selected for the Pro Bowl six times.

Chris Samuels was born on the 28th of July, 1977 in Mobile, Alabama and he was also raised there, Samuels attended the John Shaw High School which is located in Mobile and he played as an offense and defense for the John Shaw High School football team and it was there that his career as a footballer began, Samuels later attended the University of Alabama and while at the University he played for the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team from 1996 to 1999.
Samuels was later named in the All Southeastern Conference (SEC) first team by the coaches and he was later recognized as a consensus first-team All-American, Samuels went on to win the Outland Trophy as the Country’s best College Interior Lineman and he was also a semifinalist for the Lombardi Awards, Samuels also won the Jacobs Blocking Trophy as the Southeastern Conference Most Outstanding blocker and throughout his stay at the University of Alabama he started 42 games and his most successful sport year was in 1999 as he had 91 knockdowns that year.

Due to the successful career he had in both High School and College, Samuels was signed by the Washington Redskins, he immediately became the first choice left tackle for his team and successfully made it to six Pro Bowls, in 2000 he was one of the only four player on Offense to start every game, in 2001, Samuels began all 16 regular season games at Left Tackle, on the 3rd of December, 2001, he was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated along with NFL star Stephen Davis, in 2002, Samuels started all 15 regular-season games, in 2003 he started 13 regular season games, in 2004 he started 16 regular season games.
As time went on he established his reputation as the Washington Redskins offensive line leader, in 2005 he renewed his contract with Washington Redskins which was worth over $45 million and a signing bonus of $16 million and that season he played 16 regular season games, in 2006 he played 16 regular season games, in 2007 he played 16 games, in 2008 he became the team captain and played 12 games and in 2010 he retired and became a coach.
