Jimmy Hart Career

Jimmy Hart was introduced into wrestling by Jerry Lawler, but they later had issues which led to them separating. From 1981 until 1984, he led wrestlers like Austin Idol, Masao Ito and Gilbert to NWA/AWA international titles. In 1985, he started a new phase of his managerial career in WWF, after he was hired by Vince McMahon. He managed King Kong Bundy at Wrestlemania. In 1986, he began to manage the Funk brothers which included Terry Funk, Hoss Funk and Jimmy Jack Funk.

In 1987, he managed WWF Women’s Tag Team Champions Judy Martin and Leilani Kai, who were also known as The Glamour Girls. In 1987, he was named Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Manager of the Year and he also won the award again in 1994. In 2007, he appeared at the PMG Clash of Legends. On March 1, 2010, his all-female wrestling promotion wrestlicious premiered on MavTv and BiteTv.

On January 12, 2012, he wrestled at PWS WrestleReunion VI in battle Royal won by The Godfather. In October of 2003, he made his debut at Total Nonstop Action (TNA). In March of 2011, he quit TNA and returned to WWE. Hart authored the book titled The Mouth of the South, which was released on November 18, 2004.
