Sam Tsui is an American singer, composer, video producer and songwriter and he is popularly known for his cover of songs by the likes of Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, Adele, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake and for his song titled Just a Dream.

Sam Tsui was born Samuel Tsui on the 2nd of May, 1989 in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, United States, Tsui was born to a Cantonese father and an European mother from Lowa, he also grew up with a brother named Kent Kevin, Tsui was raised by his parents in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania and he lived in the same neighborhood with famous YouTube producer and composer Kurt Schneider, Tsui and Schneider both attended the Wissahickon High School which is located in Pennsylvania, while at the High School both Tsui and Schneider got actively involved in High School musical and also enlisted for drama classes.

While at the Wissahickon High School, Tsui participated in musicals such as Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Urinetown, Miss Saigon, Titanic and many more, he later enrolled at the Yale University where he subsequently became a member of Davenport College and The Duke’s Men of Yale which is a popular all-male a cappella group, while at the University, Tsui majored in classical Greek and while at the University he was also involved at the Trinity Church Southport where he sharpened his skills as a singer.

Tsui began his professional singing career with a performance at The Bonnie Hunt Show, he later went on to perform Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who loves me), he later sang Don’t Stop Believin by Journey for the cast of the television series Glee, in 2009 with the help of Kurt Schneider he produced a series of College musical, in 2010 he released his first cover album and it featured covers of songs by Beyonce, Jason Mraz, Michael Jackson, in February, 2010, Tsui appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show with his producer and friend Kurt Schneider.

In December, 2010, Tsui appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show where he performed Katy Perry’s Firework and Bruno Mars’ Grenade, that same month he collaborated with the late YouTube singer Christina Grimmie to release a song titled Just a Dream, in 2011, Tsui launched his YouTube channel and was also featured on Britney Spears’ official website, in 2011 Tsui worked as a behind-the-scene host of the NBC’s a capella show The Sing-Off and over the years he has collaborated with personalities such as Alex Goot, Luke Conard, Landon Austin and many more.
