John Randle was born John Anthony Randle on December 12, 1967 in Mumford, Texas, United States and he was also raised there. Randle was born in a poor household and he had to survive during his younger days by working various odd jobs.

He grew up with a brother named Ervin Randle who played as a line backer for eight years.

John Randle attended Hearne High School, Texas and he later studied at Valley Community College, before transferring to Texas A&M University in Kingsville.

Football Career

John Randle began his football career at the Hearne High School in Texas and he also played football while at Valley Community College and while also at Texas A&M University, he also played Football.

In 1993, he went for his first Pro Bowl and recorded 11.5 sacks and quickly became one of the most dominant defensive tackles of his time. He was popularly known for disarming on-field heckling of opposing players.

In 2002, he signed to Seattle Seahawks and in his first season with the Seattle Hawks, he earned an invite to the Pro Bowl. John Randle retired from Football in March, 2004.

After retiring from active Football, Randle was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor in 2008. He was also inducted into the Texas Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.
